News : Global Brands to Have Customer Services Based in Derby
Derby, UK, July 13, 2016 -- A consumer goods provider is to base its UK customer services department in Derby.
Unilever – maker of brands such as Marmite, Pot Noodle, Dove, Persil, Ben & Jerry's, Magnum, Lynx, Hellmann's and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter – has contracted Webhelp to manage its customer calls across Europe.
Webhelp has its headquarters in Paris and has 14 contact centres in the UK, including in Derby where 2,000 people are employed. The 20,000 sq ft premises in Riverside Road, Pride Park, has been chosen to deliver the UK part of the Unilever contract.
Olivier Duha, co-founder of Webhelp, said it was fantastic news.
He said: "This is a terrific contract for Webhelp and it is a real coup for us to be able to add such an illustrious brand name as Unilever to our growing list of leading global clients.
"Webhelp's ability to offer a consistently high-quality customer experience across a wide range of geographies and languages has been a key factor in our ability to secure this contract with Unilever."
