News : Government Sets Up Hotline and Website
BANGKOK, Nov 28 2013 -- The government has set up a hotline center and a website in a bid to provide contact details to the members of public affected by the demonstrators’ seizure of government offices.
Deputy Prime Minister Pongthep Thepkarnchana said during a meeting with ministry representatives that the recent seizures of government have disrupted services provided for Thai residents in many provinces. The public are urged to retrieve information on temporary locations of government offices via the new hotline or at the website.
Radio Thailand, the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand and Modernine TV will help broadcast further details on the latest updates regarding the protests.
Mr Pongthep reiterated that all ministries are open and can offer public services despite the shutdown of some offices by protesters.
