News : Grand Rapids Call Center Adding 100 New Jobs
Grand Rapids, MI, Sept 18, 2014 -- A call center in Grand Rapids plans to add new jobs. Teleperformance announced 100 new positions during an event at its offices Thursday.
The jobs are for people with sales and customer service backgrounds. Training classes have begun and continue to the end of the year.
When the facility opened last year, it began with 50 employees. Now, it has nearly 400.
"Unemployment has been a challenge in Michigan and so, as Teleperformance has been in this market for about a year, we've been able to provide steady jobs, growing jobs, career-based jobs -- and that always leads to positive things for our company and for our client," said the company's Mike Lewis.
