News : Greenock Call Centre Staff Raise Money for Charity
Greenock, Scotland, April 22, 2016 -- Hardworking Greenock customer service staff answered the call for charity — by raising more than £3,500 for a good cause.
Workers from EE have been busy over the past 12 months organising money-spinning events in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.
Staff at the Cartsburn call centre have held various activities on site, including a bingo day where everyone played along while still carrying out their daily duties.
They also held raffles, tombolas, wore yellow to work to support the hospice’s annual ‘Go Yellow’ appeal and organised a challenge Lord Sugar, from BBC hit The Apprentice, would be proud of.
A group of 14 staff were split into two teams and given £100 each to make as much profit as they could just like the TV show.
The proceeds from the challenge were then put into a fundraising pot and a cheque for £3,644 was handed over to Elaine McNeil, community development manager at the hospice.
