News : Gujarat Government to Set Up Call Center Cum Control Room
Gandhinagar, India, March 3, 2016 -- Gujarat government earns royalty from minerals every year. The state has rich presence of minerals oriented industries. The government has now decided to set up a call center cum control room to take prompt actions against the complaints regarding mineral theft.
According to Minister Saurabh Patel, the control room will receive complaints through phone call, Facebook, website, twitter, whatesapp, email and mobile web – various modes. The contact details of control room will be publicized well.
Complainant will be given registration number through SMS to track status of actions taken.
Complaints received by control room will be forwarded to collector, prant officer, district geologist and mamlatdar through SMS, notification or email. An arrangement will be made for probe into the complain in 24 hours. Based on seriousness of complaint, flying squad will visit the place directly from Gandhinagar to take actions.
