News : Hamilton Call Centre Kinex Creates 20 New Jobs
Hamilton, UK, Sept 29, 2016 -- A Hamilton call centre is set to expand with the creation of 20 jobs.
Kinex based in Caird Park – which started as Clear Business Water in 2013 – currently employs 50 people.
Four new members of staff who started work this week were formerly employed at the Hamilton branch of BHS.
Kinex sales director John O’Donnell commented: "As the company has grown we have been developing new products. We started out as a water company, but we are developing new products in gas, electricity and telecommunications as Kinex and we require more staff to provide these services.
"Our customers are looking for a one-stop shop for their utilities.
"In addition, in April 2017 the market in England will deregulate which will allow us to sell water in England. We also need more staff to do this."
The company have just taken on an additional 1500sq ft office to accommodate the increase in staff at Caird Park.
Mr O’Donnell, from Motherwell, and colleague Stewart Yardley, from Cambuslang, set up the business in 2013 with the backing of East Kilbride businessman James Duncan.
It followed the deregulation of the Scottish water market in 2008 which allowed businesses to choose the supplier of their mains water.
Mr O’Donnell said: "Since our formation, the company has always endeavoured to employ staff locally. After examining the possibility of other locations such as Glasgow city centre, the east end and Motherwell, Hamilton came out on top due to staff availability and excellent transport links.
"We currently have positions to offer willing employees with either very little experience or indeed highly experienced team members."
If anyone is interested in applying for a job with Kinex they can apply via Hamilton Job Centre and S1 Jobs.
