Campbell, CA, USA, March 23, 2020 -- 8x8, Inc. (NYSE:EGHT), an integrated cloud communications platform, announced Denver-based health care provider Every Child Pediatrics has expanded their use of 8x8 Cloud Communications solution by adding "virtual visits," which enables video conferencing between a doctor, medical staff, counselor or dietician and a patient.

Every Child Pediatrics, established in 1996, is a non-profit organization providing affordable, comprehensive health care to more than 24,000 children across 16 clinics in urban and rural communities in Colorado. The organization is the largest pediatric practice in the state.

Almost 99 percent of patient visits were in-person and on-site, and the organization recognized it needed to enhance care by also providing a telemedicine option, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Every Child Pediatrics wanted to offer virtual visits, so children and parents could be seen by a medical practitioner and ask questions in a safe manner through a mobile device or computer screen. The use of telemedicine techniques would allow Every Child Pediatrics to reach even more patients and deliver the same quality health care.
