News : Helpline In Sight for Grievance Redressal
Aurangabad, April 2, 2014, 04 -- The district poll office has set up a helpline and grievance reddressal cell to facilitate problems faced by citizens ahead of the Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
"Citizens coming across any problem in connection with the forthcoming polls can call on the toll-free number 18002339234," district deputy poll officer Shashikant Hadgal said.
"The cell would function round the clock and people can also register complaints regarding candidates crossing the expenditure limit and violating the model code of conduct on the toll-free number," he added.
"Moreover, one can get help by calling from landline phone to the call centre toll free number 1950. The cell, after receiving the complaints from the voters, would diverted the calls to the officers concerned," he said, adding, "They can call up 1950 to check for voter registration status and seek information through text by typing EPICID (space), followed by the voter card number, and send it to 9869889966.
