News : Helpline to Tackle Crime Against Women
Dec 31, 2014 -- District Collector N. Yuvaraj has agreed to set up a helpline to tackle crime against women, form a committee of civil society representatives and government and police officials that meets every month to discuss the action taken.
Representatives of Visakha Mahila Suraksha Samithi, led by C.S. Rao, met the Collector in the wake of the rape of a girl near Visakha Valley school.
Stating that pornography websites were a major reason for youth resorting to atrocities, Mr Rao urged the Collector to implement registration of cyber cafes and send proposals to block such sites.
