News : Hilton Seeks 70 Part-timers for Virtual Call Center
Orlando, FL, USA, June 23, 2015 -- In a new move for its Orlando operations, Hilton Worldwide said it will hire 70 part-time employees in Central Florida to work from home.
The employee would take calls at their home for Hilton reservations. A spokeswoman for the company said Virginia-based Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has done this in other cities but not in Central Florida.
The company hopes the positions will appeal to retirees, stay-at-home parents, students and others who want to make a little extra cash. The part-time positions don’t receive full-time benefits, but they do participate in the company’s 401k program, get some paid time off, and get discounts through Hilton’s employee travel program.
Hiring began on June 1.
The company says its virtual positions are popular among military spouses who appreciate the flexible schedule and opportunity to take the job with them if they need to relocate.
