News : HP and Avaya Partner for Communications-in-the-Cloud Push
Aug 26, 2014 -- HP and Avaya have joined forces to push the deployment of cloud-based communications systems further into enterprises. This will cover services including unified communications within businesses and call centre offerings.
HP will use its expertise in delivering large customer projects to help sell Avaya services into larger enterprises, Avaya said, to help broaden the appeal of its ‘as-a-service’ communication offerings.
The services will be offered to businesses hosted on HP's Helion Cloud service across HP's global cloud infrastructure.
Pierre-Paul Allard, president for Global Field Operations at Avaya said, "The agreement with HP is the right path at the right time to quickly address what is already one of the fastest-growing areas of our business. Through our long-term relationship, we already share many customers. We expect that base to grow significantly with this new model, supporting the world’s collaboration business environment."
Mike Nefkens, general manager for HP Enterprise Services, added that the deal would benefit HP across the business IT landscape. "This agreement reinforces HP’s commitment to the mobility and workplace market and helps to grow HP’s presence in the end-user space," he said.
