News : HP to Cut 11,000 to 16,000 More Jobs
May 23, 2014 -- Technology corporation Hewlett-Packard, which operates a call center in Rio Rancho, plans to cut even more jobs in the next year.
HP announced they will cut another 11,000 to 16,000 positions. The company previously estimated that 34,000 positions would be eliminated in connection to a restructuring plan to make HP "more competitive."
The additional cuts could total up to 50,000 jobs.
Around 800 employees work at the call center in Rio Rancho. It's unclear at this time if the cuts will impact the facility.
