News : Indianapolis Launches Hotline to Aid Homeless Veterans
Indianapolis, IN, March 10, 2015 -- A new hotline that’s aimed at helping homeless veterans and their at-risk comrades is up and running in Indianapolis.
The 24-hour call center that’s at the heart of a new program went online Monday. That program aims to connect veterans at risk of becoming homeless with more than 30 service providers. The hotline number is 317-327-4838.
Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, who’s a retired Marine Corps officer, announced Friday the city was launching the new program to aid veterans in Indianapolis who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Ballard says the program aims to address all the problems surrounding homelessness, including education, housing, employment and medical care.
He says "Indianapolis is a city that takes care of those who serve."
