News : Indore to Have Mobile App & Helpline for Sanitation Complaints
Indore, Madhya Pradesh India, Sept 18, 2014 -- Residents of Indore will soon be able to send sanitation complaints including pictures of garbage piled up near their house online. The service would be operational from September 20.
"Complaints registered with a call centre will be addressed by IMC within few hours and complainant will get a confirmation from civic body", said an IMC source adding that a mobile application will be launched soon on which people can register their complaints with picture.
To improve garbage management system in the city, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) will put up additional 1050 garbage bins on city roads and streets. As per the plan IMC will purchase 750 new garbage bins and 300 damaged garbage bins would be repaired and put in use.
IMC had identified 140 places in the city were bulk of garbage are generated round the clock. All these places will be supervised by the a sanitation worker, who will have to ensure that garbage are lifted from time to time.
