News : Inference Solutions Expands Inference Survey
Medication non-adherence is a growing and prevalent concern to clinicians and healthcare professionals due to mounting evidence that it is associated with adverse outcomes and higher costs of care. It is estimated that half of Americans do not follow the directions on prescribed medications. Outbound surveying is an approach to gathering the data that facilitates campaigns to increase medication adherence. An additional benefit is that by regularly contacting patients and asking them to respond, there is likely to be an increase in compliance in cases where patients have simply forgotten to take their medication. In either case, the outcome is that healthcare costs are reduced.
