News : Inspired Outsourcing Creates 80 New Jobs in Newcastle Call Centre
Newcastle, UK, Sept 28, 2016 -- A Newcastle call centre is creating 80 new jobs on the back of a new deal with an energy supplier.
Inspired Outsourcing is based on Cuthbert House in Newcastle city centre and offers outbound call centre services to companies looking to acquire new customers and retain those it already has.
Now the centre has agreed expansion plans with its existing client Scottish Power and is looking to hire new sales advisors and a team manager, as well as recruiting for a number of quality support roles.
The business hopes to have taken the total number of staff working on the Scottish Power account to more than 100 by the end of 2016 and plans to continue its growth into 2017.
Kevin Hutchinson, head of operations at Inspired Outsourcing said: "We have already taken on a lot of new starters this year and we’re looking to take on another 34 employees before the end of September.
"This new contract is a huge deal for us and the recruitment drive we will be implementing as a result will be our biggest ever - it’s a very exciting time for us.
"We are committed to offering our clients the best service possible and regularly train our staff in the latest sales techniques to ensure we can operate as effectively as possible.
Debbie Caldwell, head of outsource telesales at Scottish Power said: "We have been impressed with the way Inspired work, how they recruit and the work-life balance they offer to their employees.
"We have been extremely impressed with what Inspired Outsourcing has to offer and are excited about the future of the partnership."
The recruitment drive comes just as the latest unemployment figures are released announcing that the number of people out of work fell by 39,000 in the three months to July, keeping the unemployment rate in the UK at 4.9%.
The jobs announcement comes a week after 80 new jobs were announced at Allay, a Newcastle city centre company specialising in mis-sold payment protection insurance.
