News : CGI Creates 100 New Jobs in Bridgend
Mar 3, 2014 -- An international IT services provider is creating 100 jobs in South Wales as part of an expansion of its operations.
CGI, which operates from three locations in the Bridgend area, is growing its workforce to help it service a mix of new contracts and the development of existing contracts.
A spokesperson for CGI said: "The UK business is growing for CGI and the Welsh business is a key part of that."
As part of the recruitment process CGI is holding the second of two open days at the Bridgend Innovation Centre. It is seeking applicants to fill a wide range or roles, from entry-level positions to those for experienced technology and delivery professionals.
The recruits will provide a range of services to CGI’s clients which include household brand names and the public sector.
One new client announced recently is the NHS Solent Trust in Hampshire, which is supported by staff in Wales.
CGI currently employs around 900 people in South Wales delivering a range of outsourcing and infrastructure services to clients.
