News : Italy’s Call Centre Workers Have Least Job Satisfaction and Security

Sept 23, 2014 -- Among the Italian workers that mostly perceive the insecurity of their job there is a clear predominance of the call center operators. With a score of 11.3 on a scale from 0 to 100 (where 0 indicates very insecure and 100 very safe). Followed by those who work in the show business (20.7).
At the opposite side the university professors, the ambassadors and the occupations devoted to public safety are found. Call center operators, together with domestic staff and remote sellers, are also among the least satisfied with their professional status.
This is what emerges from the survey on occupations, jointly carried out by Istat and Isfol in 2012-13, which analyses the characteristics and requirements of approximately 800 occupational units.
