The report showed that the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Saudi Arabia, China, and the United States were the most prominent markets that benefited from the services and products of the exporting Egyptian companies.
Call centre services have acquired 35% of total exports, whereas the exports of content management services represent 22%, followed by exports from application development services by 15%.
The programme allows companies to obtain direct support on their exports, ranging from 10-20%, with a maximum of EGP 2.5m of exports per company.
The largest share of support went to microenterprises with a number of workers ranging from one to nine, achieving annual revenues of less than EGP 1m. Those companies receive 20% of the value of their total exports as an incentive. Small businesses with 10-50 workers and revenues estimated at EGP 10m obtain 15%, while 12% is given to medium-sized companies with 50-250 workers and export revenues of EGP 10m to EGP 80m. Large companies with more than 250 workers and export revenues of more than EGP 80m received 10% of their total exports’ value.
