News : Japan's Toppan Buying into Call Center Operator Bellsystem24
Tokyo, Japan, Dec, 2017 -- Toppan Printing will take a stake in call center operator Bellsystem24 Holdings, aiming to build and broaden its operations in business process outsourcing.
The Japanese industrial printer will pay for U.S. private equity firm Bain Capital's stake in Bellsystem24, according to an announcement. Toppan will appoint a Bellsystem24 board member next spring.
The two companies have embarked on a partnership in the business process outsourcing -- BPO -- field. Toppan has a track record handling administrative work for clients. Bellsystem24's strength lies in its call centers.
Together, the partners aim to introduce technologies such as artificial intelligence to expand the scope of their BPO operations.
