News : JetBlue to Open Call Center Near Orlando Airport
Nov 12, 2013 -- JetBlue Airways will open a call center Wednesday near Orlando International Airport that could employ up to 500 people.
The first 25 workers are now taking calls, according to JetBlue. Most of the employees will field calls about flight reservations and customer service questions from their home, a JetBlue release said.
The jobs are expected to pay between $9 and $14 an hour, with employment growing to 500 people within five years.
JetBlue already has a call center in Salt Lake City, but opened one in Orlando at its existing JetBlue University building as a backup. The airline is looking for reservation workers who can speak Spanish as JetBlue pursues more flights in the Caribbean.
