News : Jharkhand to Introduce Helpline Number to Stop Migration
Ranchi, India, Sept 23, 2016 -- Jharkhand will introduce division-wise help-line number to stop migration to other states for employment.
Announcing division-wise help-line number, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said in Gumla that the government had inked MoUs with different companies to generate employment and the youth would be imparted training to make them employable, an official release said quoting him.
Stating that the government also undertook schemes so that people could get employment in Jharkhand itself, Das asked women's self help groups to make a list of those migrating people so that the government could train them and make them self-employable.
The government was keen to set up cottage industries and would make market available for their products.
Das said that 2017/18 would be observed as "year of women entrepreneurship".
Calling upon the women SHGs to make aware the people in the villages about leafy vegetables so that the state could become free from malnourishment, Das stressed upon pulse crop along with paddy as pulse could mitigate malnourishment.
The CM was addressing the South Chota Nagpur Division Convention of 'Mukhias', Panchayat Secretariat Assistants and SHG (self-help groups) in Gumla, in which women's SHGs from 31 blocks of five districts were present, the release said.
