The police claims that the action will be taken on the complaint within 24 hours of its registration.
The helpline number 0512-2310512 titled as 'ek number bharose ka' (a number to rely on) was launched in 176 police stations of all the 9 districts under Kanpur zone-- Kanpur city, Kanpur village, Etawah, Auraiya, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Jhansi, Jalaun and Lalitpur, said a statement issued by the IG office on Thursday.
