News : KC-area Call Center with 179 Employees is Closing
Olathe, KS, USA, March, 2019 -- A global provider in customer engagement services is closing its Olathe call center, which employs 179, KCUR reports.
The Concentrix call center at 400 N. Rogers Rd. is slated to close May 31, and the local operations will transition to a work from home model. Most, if not all, employees will qualify to work from home, a Concentrix spokeswoman told KCUR.

The decision to close the center is an effort to "best serve the clients," she said.
Convergys Corp. previously owned the Olathe call center, but the Ohio-based company was acquired last year by Concentrix parent company Synnex Corp., the Cincinnati Business Courier reports. Prior to the acquisition, Convergys had about 150 locations worldwide that provided customer care, analytics, tech support, collections, home agent and end-to-end selling.
