News : Kenyan Call Centre Firm KenCall Faces Winding-up Petition
Nov 27, 2014 -- Kenyan contact centre service provider KenCall is facing liquidation for failing to pay creditors, putting more than 600 jobs on the line, Business Daily reported. It said Insight Management Consultants, a human resources (HR) services firm, has gone to court seeking orders to wind up KenCall over a debt that has not been paid since last year.
Jaoko Alexander, a partner at Nchoe, Jaoko & Co Advocates, told the Business Daily that it has instructions from its client to proceed with the winding-up petition.
The petition shows that KenCall, a company associated with its founder and long-serving chief executive Nicholas Nesbitt, is in financial trouble and finding difficulty in paying debts. The petition is set for hearing on 19 December.
