Bakersfield, CA, USA, March, 2020 -- The Kern County Department of Public Health is working to keep the community safe and informed amid the coronavirus pandemic. To better assist in keeping the public informed, the department has created a call center to help answer questions from the public.
Those with questions can call (661) 321-3000. It is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.
Kern County Public Health continues to recommend the following protective measures:
Wash hands with soap and water often
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. Follow label instructions for proper disinfecting.
Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your elbow.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay away from work, school or other people if you become ill.
