News : KeyCorp Hiring for Jobs at Amherst Call Center
Amherst, OH, USA, June 21, 2016 -- KeyCorp is hiring for positions at its Amherst customer contact center, as the bank’s planned acquisition of First Niagara Financial Group moves closer to reality.
The Cleveland-based bank is running radio spots featuring Gary Quenneville, Key’s top Buffalo-based executive, and print ads inviting people to apply for the jobs. The contact center already has about 300 employees.
Therese Myers, a Key spokeswoman, declined to say how many positions the bank is filling. Myers said the additional hiring is designed to ensure "we will have enough customer service specialists trained and ready when we welcome First Niagara clients after the merger is final."
Key and First Niagara still need regulators’ approval in order for the deal to go through. Key has said it plans to complete the deal in the third quarter.
