News : KWA Helpline Number Launched

Thiruvananthapuram, India, Nov, 2019 -- Water resources minister K Krishnankutty launched a toll-free number, 1916, for consumers to register complaints with the Kerala water authority. Complaints regarding water supply or sewage can be filed through the 24-hour helpline number which can handle 30 calls at a time.
The complaints will be forwarded to an assistant engineer of the respective water authority sections through phone call. Messages will be send to mobile phone and official email of assistant engineer. The call centre will inform the complainant about steps taken and follow up action on the complaint.
The minister also inaugurated point of sale (PoS) machines for cashless payment of water bills, at the function. Around 113 PoS machines are being installed in various KWA offices.
