News : Laredo's Concentrix Looking to Fill Over 200 Positions
Laredo, TX, USA, Jan 18, 2019 -- Convergys, a private employer in Laredo, has been taken over by a company named Concentrix.
The acquisition of Convergys was finalized in October.
"It is still the great call center company that you know," according to Brooke Beiting, senior specialist of communications for Concentrix. "We’re looking to be bigger, better and bolder with the next team."
The company is aiming to fill more than 200 positions at their Laredo location, 2451 Monarch Drive.
"Laredo is currently the third largest facility out of the 60 Concentrix sites in North America with over 1,100 staff members," the company said. "We are in the process of hiring 200-plus more jobs within the next three months."
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday at the call center in Laredo to mark the rebranding of Convergys to Concentrix.

Among the positions they are seeking are customer service representatives and sales associates. No experience is necessary. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, PC knowledge and be skilled in multi-tasking.
Robert Juarez, site leader for the Concentrix contact center in Laredo, said all staff members go to a three- to five-week classroom training, equipping them with the tools and knowledge to successfully perform.
"This is followed by a transition period servicing customers with real-time hands-on support from experienced associates," Juarez said.
He added, "We are looking for individuals to fit into our health care customer service account (prior health care experience not required), and also for one of our communications clients supporting cellular service. Customer service individuals ready to provide a fanatical experience to our customers. They must have a high school diploma or GED and pass a customer service assessment and interview. Bilingual candidates are also welcome."
The company said that a customer service job can serve as a stepping stone to other career opportunities. Also, more than 79 percent of customer service managers are promoted from within the company.
Concentrix said that over the last several months, teams have worked tirelessly to integrate two great organizations into "one team, one company, one Concentrix."
