News : Law Ending Wait Times on Customer Service Lines Passes
Dec 8, 2014 -- The Knesset approved the second and third readings of a consumer protection bill authored by MK Eitan Cabel (Labor), who was joined by MKs from the coalition and the opposition.
The bill stipulates that companies which have a customer service line provide the consumer with the option of leaving his contact details and have a representative contact him later, should the waiting time exceed three minutes. This option would apply not only to requests from consumers dealing with faults and flaws, but to any request by a consumer.
