News : 'Let's Grow Together,' Gov Says at Hobart Call Center
Hobart, IN, USA, Sept 3, 2015 -- The company's announcement of 250 more new hires was one Gov. Mike Pence happily shared during his visit to Teleperformance Americall on Wednesday.
"There's a whole lot of more room to grow in Indiana. Let's grow together," Pence said.
Prior to the announcement, Pence toured the call center, chatted with employees and congratulated the call company's management as well as Hobart officials.
"This is a testimony to those who make up the team here. This is your victory," Pence said.
The call center off 61st Avenue is hiring 250 people to support its healthcare and financial services clients, said Scott Amo, director of operations at the Hobart facility.
"Thank you for making the trip here," Amo told the governor.
Also in attendance were Mayor Brian Snedecor and City Councilman Jerry Herzog, D-1st.
"We appreciate what you are doing here," Snedecor told the facility's management.
The call center, at 1901 Northwind Parkway, has operated in Hobart for nine years and has over 750 employees across the state of Indiana.
Employees start at $10 an hour and then graduate to making $15 to $20 as they receive training and move up the ladder, Amo said.
"We grow them into those positions," Amo said.
