News : LocalOye.com to Ramp Up Hiring by Year-end
Mumbai, India, Aug 14, 2015 -- LocalOye.com, an online platform to book services online, is in an aggressive ramp-up mode. From a 25-member team in March this year, it intends to scale up employee strength to 500 by end October this year.
The ambitious hiring targets are aimed at driving the startup's growth plans, which include expansion to three more cities — Gurgaon, Delhi and Noida — by end August. "We have been expanding really fast," said Aditya Rao, CEO, LocalOye. "We will be hiring across all verticals including technology, operations, call centre, marketing, HR, finance and legal," he added.
The startup also intends to hire off campuses such as the IITs and BITS Pilani this year. On the senior leadership front, the startup, has, just last month, brought on board a new chief business officer, Bharati Balakrishnan, who has over nine years of work experience across finance and healthcare categories. A BITS Pilani and IIM Ahmedabad grad, Balakrishnan has had previous stints with Bain and HSBC abroad.
LocalOye moved its operations to Bengaluru from Mumbai in May this year to take advantage of what Rao said was a "better ecosystem and talent pool". It has recently finalised a 30,000 sq ft office in Bengaluru as compared to the 750 sq ft office it had in Mumbai.
