News : Major Call Centre's Pledge to Stay in Middlesbrough as Offices Go on Market

Middlesbrough, UK, July 28, 2020 -- A call centre says it has "no intention" of leaving Middlesbrough as its centre-of-town offices go on the market.

Firstsource Solutions UK employs a large workforce at Fountain Court.

The business outsourcing service has operated from the Grange Road offices for years, but its lease on the building is up in 2021.

Now its owners are marketing the property for either sale or rent, from next April.

Firstsource has not said whether it will remain a sub-tenant at Fountain Court.

But a spokesperson from the company said it was not about to depart the town anytime soon.

They said: "We have no intention of leaving Middlesbrough.

"We have a great workforce here and remain committed to the town."

Connect Property North East (CPNE), which is marketing the premises, says in its listing: "The building is adjacent to the recently constructed Centre Square office development, with further development planned.

"Also nearby is MIMA, Central Library, Middlesbrough Borough Councils offices, the County and Magistrates Courts and Middlesbrough’s largest shopping centre."
