News : Man Accused of Running ‘Boiler Room' Cold Call Centre on Gold Coast Granted Bail
Southport, Australia, Sept 5, 2016 -- A 29-year-old man accused of operating a so-called boiler room cold call centre on Queensland's Gold Coast has been granted bail.
Police searched a business premises at Southport on Monday morning and seized a computer and files.

They arrested Harry Omeros at the business and charged him with two counts of fraud.
Police alleged the call centre was being used to sell bogus sports betting, stock market and property investment packages.
Omeros, from Paradise Point, faced the Southport Magistrates Court where he was granted bail.
He was placed on a $25,000 surety and must report to police twice a week.
He is due to reappear in the Southport Magistrates Court on November 14.
