News : Minacs Hiring 400+ Employees to Call Center
Richmond, VA, USA, Aug 6, 2015 -- Hundreds of new jobs are coming to Richmond. Minacs, a global business solutions company, is hiring more than 400 employees for its call center.
"We want to make sure when the members call in, we can take the calls," said Minacs operations manager, Antonio Terry.
To take every call, Minacs is quadrupling its size. Minacs develops global business solutions in numerous areas. The call center is rooted in health care. New employees will manage inbound calls for members, providers, and physicians.
"Just because you don't necessarily know information in the health care industry, that shouldn't exclude you because we'll teach you what you need," said Terry.
But you do need some customer service experience.
"You have to have that energy when you're on the telephone," said Terry.
With enough of that energy and experience, Terry says you could start moving your way up in the company.
"We promote from within, so we have managers now that started off on the telephone with us," said Terry.
Two years after the company's inception, Minacs currently has about 200 employees in its call center. The expansion will put that number at 600.
"I think the employees that join us, they will thoroughly enjoy it. Minacs is a great place to be."
The company will be filling the positions by the end of the year. Some will be added to its current location on Mayland Drive. The rest will be at a brand new building.
