News : Mobile Firm Create New Jobs in Greenock
Dec 31, 2013 -- Mobile provider Everything Everywhere (EE) is hiring 20 sales advisers for its Cartsburn call centre.
The 20-strong team is expected to start work early in the new year as the company steps up its roll-out of the ‘super fast’ 4G network for customers.
Successful applicants for the £15,700 a year posts will sell EE products and services.
In a short statement, a spokeswoman for the company said: "We are currently advertising for sales adviser roles.
It was also announced this month that the new Co-op Food store in the west end will create 15 jobs, while supermarket chain Aldi is looking to recruit 30 people for roles in its new Grey Place shop — 10 more jobs than first thought.
EE bosses are remaining low key about the 20 new jobs amidst the possibility of 30 separate back office posts being shed in Greenock.
In September, bosses at the company confirmed that a 45-day consultation had started which could see posts axed. That period has since been extended and EE chiefs says they are still considering their options.
