Galway, Ireland, May 17, 2016 -- More than 150 new jobs to be created in Galway by furniture and homewares store
An online homewares and furniture store is to create 160 jobs in Galway.
Wayfair already employs 200 people in the city but is expanding its operations and will open a new facility on the Tuam Road.
The IDA Ireland backed investment will see Wayfair hiring call centre personnel for the European market.
It is also offering a number of marketing and sales positions.
The company employs more than 2,000 people all over the world.
As well as selling home fixtures and appliances, Wayfair also offers dedicated design and furnishing websites.
It opened its European Operations Centre in Galway in 2009 and has expanded steadily in Ireland since then.
The new jobs will be in areas including customer service, finance, business analysis, recruitment, training and IT services.
