News : MQM-P Inaugurates Complaint Centre to Help Resolve Public Issues

Karachi, Pakistan, July 8, 2024 - To help resolve public issues, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Sunday inaugurated a complaint centre at the Pakistan House.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony at the Pakistan House, MQM-P central leader and MNA Syed Mustafa Kamal remarked that a new foundation had been laid by the MQM-P in the 75-year history of the country.

He said his party had given an effective voice to the whole of Pakistan, especially the urban areas of Sindh where the party had become the first party to have established such a complaint centre.

He explained that a citizen belonging to any region could contact the elected representatives of the MQM-P for the solution and redress of their problems. The complaint centre would run 24/7 and all the complainants would be entertained equally without discrimination based on colour, caste or language, Kamal said, adding that the MQM-P had provided a strong platform to the citizens for voicing their concerns to the authorities.

He maintained that the complaint centre would prove to be a breath of fresh air in the suffocating environment. He said the people could contact the complaint centre through 021111786021 and tell the problem to the call centre agent after telling their national identity card number.

Kamal said all the registered problems would be shared with the central committee of the MQM-P, and its MNAs and MPAs so that they could take steps for their resolution. The MQM-P leader said the complainants would also be given a tracking number by the complaint centre through which he could track the progress in the resolution of their complaint. He added that the quality control department of the complaint centre would also remain in touch with the complainants and inform them whether their issues had been resolved.

Kamal stated that the MQM-P planned to hold its MNAs, MPAs, officials and workers accountable through the complaint centre. He termed the centre the first step towards fulfilling the party’s promise to solve the problems of the people at their doorstep through coordinated methods.

The MQM-P believed in practical efforts and the complaint centre was its proof, Kamal said. He remarked that the party had not founded the complaint centre for gaining political edge but it was a genuine effort on its part to ensure public welfare and fulfilment of legitimate rights of the people. Dr Farooq Sattar, Anis Kaimkhani, Syed Aminul Haque and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.
