News : Multilingual Call Center Offers Free Interpretation Service in Kyushu Quake-hit Areas
Fukuoka, Japan, April 20, 2016 -- Multiple language call center operator BeBorn Co. has started a free telephone interpretation service to help foreigners who do not speak Japanese in Kumamoto Prefecture and other earthquake-affected areas in Kyushu.
The three-way interpretation service, offered as part of corporate social contributions by the Fukuoka-based company, is intended to assist municipal employees, volunteer staff at shelters, police officers and others in their dealings with foreigners.
The service is available in 10 languages — Chinese, English, French, Indonesian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese.
If users make a call to a dedicated number, they can talk with interpreters in their required language round the clock. Users need to pay only the call costs.
