Navi Mumbai, India, March 16, 2020 -- The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) ordered a complete shutdown of the offices of an Airoli-based call centre, after one of its employees tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday.
Head of NMMC health department, Dr B Sonawane, told TOI: "Civic officials visited their office premises and directed personnel to sanitize the area, including computers, keyboards etc. The affected employee is a resident of Thane, and he used to come to the Airoli office to work."
Dr Sonawane said the civic body requested the media avoid mentioning the names of companies or housing societies whose members had to undergo testing, to prevent unnecessary panic.
