News : Netsuite Buys Marketing Tech Company
San Mateo, CA, USA, April 23, 2015 -- NetSuite is acquiring North Carolina-based marketing technology business Bronto Software.
The deal by San Mateo-based Netsuite is expected to close in the second quarter of 2015.
In a blog post on Bronto’s website, CEO Joe Colopy said the plan was to continue "with Bronto’s winning formula," but to apply it to "a larger stage."
"We are going to rethink not only commerce marketing, but also commerce," he writes. "This entails deeply integrating digital messaging channels like mail, mobile and social with the transactions that happen through the digital shopping cart, in-store point-of-sale and call center."
Bronto will operate as an independent business unit of NetSuite and its current leadership team will continue to guide the organization.
