News : New Butte Call Center Moving Closer to the Finish Line
Butte, MT, USA, July 9, 2019 - Should all go according to plan, construction should wrap up this week on the new FCR call center that’s being built in the former J.C. Penney location in the Butte Plaza Mall.
FCR Facilities Director Ken Averett and Site Director Stephanie Marshall gave a sneak peek of the progress on the new center, which will handle mostly incoming calls for the company’s clients.
Workers were busy putting on the final touches at the new facility. Some 400 cubicles have been installed, about 120 of which are already powered and ready to go.
"It’s a matter of tying up loose ends," said Averett.

The Oregon-based company, which has locations throughout the West and abroad, announced its intentions to open a facility in Butte in November. The company is expected to eventually employ over 350 people in the Mining City — possibly around 400, Averett and Marshall said.
Marshall said the company has already hired about 100 employees who are temporarily working at sites throughout the mall.
"The mall has been amazing to work with," said Marshall.
Marshall said she anticipates a ribbon-cutting for the new facility will take place sometime in late July or early August.
"We’re excited about bringing such a dynamic company to Butte," said Marshall, noting that the company is looking forward to bringing jobs to Butte and hopes to have a positive impact. In all, she described the company’s culture as employee-centered and "people-focused."
Marshall emphasized that the FCR facility will not be a telemarketing call center. Instead, the Butte location will primarily be an inbound center focused on providing customer service and technical support for clients.
