News : New Call Center Announced for Cullman
Hanceville, AL, USA, October, 2016 -- Cullman providers have been working to diversify the local industry base for years, and those efforts took a major step forward.
The "boutique medical contact center" Sequence Health has announced plans to open a new location in Cullman that will create more than 125 jobs over the next five years.
The company offers patient acquisition, management, and retention solutions to "realize optimal results at every point along the care continuum."
Sequence Health is relocating from Georgia, and is temporarily housing operations at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville. Construction will ramp up soon on a permanent facility slated to open in August 2017.
"We evaluated several locations before concluding Cullman was the right place for us," Sequence Health CEO John Richmond said. "We were impressed with the city leaders, the people here, and their passion for the community. We can’t wait to put down roots here."
Sen. Paul Bussman (R-Cullman) noted the project almost fell through due to logistical issues — until Wallace State stepped in to offer temporary workspace while construction could commence on a permanent location.
"This almost didn’t happen," he said. "Most communities would’ve just thrown up their hands, but not Cullman. Our goal has always been to make every employer successful, and we work at that every day."
Cullman Mayor Max Townson said the deal was an example of the amazing "synergy" that has developed among city, county, education and business leaders in the area.
"This business will be a fantastic tool in the medical profession," he said.
