News : New Telcare Partnership Announced
Oct 22, 2013 -- Broadacres Housing Association and Harrogate Borough Council have awarded their telecare call monitoring service to Welbeing.
Following a competitive tender Welbeing were chosen to handle customer connections with people living in sheltered schemes, other council housing and to residents in the wider community.
In-house support staff who respond to pendant alerts and emergencies and who deal with any equipment problems will continue to remain with Broadacres Housing Assocation. The savings generated by this contract award will be spent on other support services.
Service Manager for Older People at Broadacres Housing Association, Jane Bennison, said: "Having provided our own contact centre for over 25 years it was a daunting process to consider outsourcing. However, having visited Welbeing we felt very much at home and confident in their knowledge of telecare and the quality of service provided. We look forward to working together in partnership to maintain the first rate service our customers expect."
Managing Director of Welbeing, Mark Bannister, said: "We are very excited to have been chosen by Broadacres and Harrogate Council to continue to provide the high quality service they have been delivering for many years. We look forward to working together offering telecare to vulnerable and older people, enabling them to live in their own homes for longer and ultimately making a real difference to people’s lives."
