News : Niger Opens Security Call Centre
Minna, Nigeria, Dec, 2017 -- The Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, has inaugurated a security response call centre in Minna to assist in addressing the security challenges confronting the state.
Bello, while unveiling the facility said, "This is in furtherance of our concerted efforts in making sure that our people are secured in any part of the state."
He noted that criminality had taken more sophisticated dimensions as a result of proliferation of weapons.

He charged security agencies to think ahead and deploy technology to mitigate the security challenges in the state.
The governor said, "This 24/7 one-stop security response call centre shall have personnel from all security agencies in the state and will be responsible for managing and coordinating all the distress calls in all the parts of the state."
He said his administration had provided vehicles to support the operation of security agencies and vigilance groups across the state.
He admonished the people to support the security agencies by reporting any suspicious character or group of people that may jeopardise the peace of the state.
