News : Himachal Pradesh Government Launches Swine Flu Information Line
Shimla, India, February, 2015 -- The Himachal Pradesh Government launched a special helpline for residents on the dreaded swine flu for disseminating information and awareness about its virus. Announcing this, Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur said the helpline will be of a great help for locals and tourists and would address all their queries and offer advice on day-to-day basis.
Five people have died in the State recently and more than 100 patients have tested positive, including the schoolchildren, for the virus. Mr. Thakur said some rapid response teams have been activated in all district and block headquarters.
He said maximum swine flu cases have been recorded from Kangra and Bilaspur districts and most of them are undergoing treatment at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and State hospital, Shiml,a and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda, in Kangra.
