News : Now, a Helpline to Complain Against Loudspeaker Menace
Lucknow, India, March 17, 2015 -- Concerned over the frequent complaints about excessive use of loudspeakers in guesthouses and even school premises where marriage functions are being held, the district administration on Monday constituted a special helpline to tackle the menace.
The service has been added-on to the existing facilities at Jan Suvidha Kendra. "All complaints regarding the use of loudspeakers in guesthouses and schools would now be entertained at Jan Suvidha Kendra," states an order by the district magistrate that reinforces Supreme Court guidelines against the use of loudspeakers in night hours.
As per the missive, people can reach the helpline by calling 05222611119, 2611118 and 2611117. Then the officer at Jan Suvidha Kendra will pass on the information to the nearest police station and also ensure that the complaint is addressed. "In an hour, the office will check if action has been initiated or not," the order says.
