News : now TV and Netflix Announce Partnership
Hong Kong, March, 2016 -- now TV, Hong Kong's pay-TV and OTT service provider, and Netflix, an Internet TV network, announce a partnership that will start delivering Netflix to customers through now TV's set-top boxes and the new 4K all-in-one appliance "now one" from the second quarter of 2016.
Ms. Loke Kheng Tham, PCCW's Executive Vice President of Pay TV, said, "This partnership will enable now TV customers to enjoy high quality content through the Netflix app which is directly integrated into our set-top boxes and "now one", our new ultra HD 4K all-in-one appliance, for the best big screen experience.
Mr. Bill Holmes, Netflix's Global Head of Business Development, said, "Partnering with now TV is going to be an important component of Netflix growth in Hong Kong. We are delighted that Hong Kongers' love for the wide variety of content on Netflix can now be experienced through now TV's set-top boxes backed up by HKT's best-in-class Internet provision and content distribution network."
