News : NY Senators Pass Bill to Penalize Employers Who Move Call Center Jobs Out of State
New York, NY, USA, March, 2019 -- New York senators passed a bill that would penalize employers who move call center jobs out of state.
The New York Call Center Jobs Act directs the commissioner of labor to collect a list of employers who move call center jobs.
Not only will this bill prohibit the companies from getting state loans and tax benefits, but it will also allow New York state to take back benefits and incentives the companies were given for coming to New York.
The bill now moves to the state Assembly.
