News : Only 12% of the Outsourcing Companies in Romania are Call Centers
Only 12% of the outsourcing companies with operations in Romania have as main activity the call center part, according to a CBRE study.
"Outsourcing is not only call center activity. The Shared Service Centers have had a very important evolution in the last years, as they have tripled their number," said Laura Dumea-Bencze, head of research within real estate consultancy firm CBRE Romania.
Some 47% of the outsourcing companies in Romania work in the developing and maintenance of software, 17% are active in business services such as human resources, accounting and support, whereas 12% mainly offer call center services.
Outsourcing grew by 40% in Romania in the last four years. The local outsourcing market has over 200 companies, with about 67,000 employees. It covers about 500,000 sqm of office space.
